RYAA Recreational Soccer

Site Supervistor

Thank you for considering being a Site Supervistor for RYAA Soccer. We will strive to make your experience with RYAA incredibly fun, successful and rewarding.

About RYAA

RYAA is a faith-based youth sports organization that seeks to develop the character, families, and faith of the communities of East Palo Alto and east Menlo Park. We do that by creating programs that allow children to learn and play a sport, while also learning about the Bible, faith in God, and good character. The key to the program is you, a caring adult coach that is willing to dedicate time and impart wisdom to the youth of our community.

Description

The Site Supervisor manages the setup and cleanup of a particular game-day location. We anticipate having 3 locations for games on Saturdays:

  • Cesar Chavez
  • Green Oaks
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Park

The site supervisor should not have to do the setup and cleanup himself or herself, but rather enlist the help of others. Some of the players and parents in the league will work off their soccer fees by helping to setup and cleanup. You will contact them, schedule them, and track their hours. Also, the first teams on the field have some setup responsibility, as well as the last teams off the field at the end of the day.

To help you be successful, we will provide you with:

  • A list of parents and players who have volunteered to help setup and cleanup a field
  • A schedule of games, with coach and manager contact information

Requirements

The things you need to be a Site Supervisor in RYAA are:

  • A positive attitude when working with parents, coaches and children.
  • Communication and organization skills.

Commitment

Estimated Weekly Time Commitment: 3 hours

The fall soccer season begins in late August and ends the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Games are on Saturdays and generally start about 9 am, and last until 5 pm. You would need to be on-site from 8 am - 9 am, and 5 pm - 6pm each Saturday to supervise the setup and cleanup. Additional time during the week would be required to schedule the work.
