RYAA Recreational Soccer

Division Coordinator

Thank you for considering being an Division Coordinator for RYAA Soccer. We will strive to make your experience with RYAA incredibly fun, successful and rewarding.

About RYAA

RYAA is a faith-based youth sports organization that seeks to develop the character, families, and faith of the communities of East Palo Alto and east Menlo Park. We do that by creating programs that allow children to learn and play a sport, while also learning about the Bible, faith in God, and good character. The key to the program is you, a caring adult that is willing to dedicate time and impart wisdom to the youth of our community.

Description

Age groups that have coaches are divided into the following age divisions, with separate boy and girl divisions for each age group:

  • 6-7
  • 9-8
  • 10-11
  • 12-15

for a total of 8 age group divisions. A Divsion Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  • Helping make sure the games for a particular age group go smoothly.
  • Communicating with the referee coordinator to make sure referees are scheduled and attend games.
  • Helping with the communication between the coaches, the Coach Coordinator, and the rest of the organization.
  • Resolve disputes with Coaches
  • Monitor coaches to make sure they are cooperating with the goals and principles of the RYAA.

An Division Coordinator is often a coach of one of the teams in an age group.

To help you be successful, we will provide you with:

  • Communication systems for communicating with referees, coaches, players and parents.
  • Training and materials in soccer coaching, as well as Positive Coach Alliance training.
