Please join us as we call on our elected leaders to-
STOP FORECLOSURES! HELP FAMILIES STAY IN THEIR HOMES
What: Join borrowers, counselors, and advocates for a rally and press conference to call on the Governor and Legislature to:
- Stop foreclosures for 180 days so that loan servicers and borrowers can work out loan modifications
- Require loan servicers to modify loans at affordable 30-year, fixed-rates with public reporting on progress so they can't just claim success, they have to show it
Why: Nearly 700,000 homes have foreclosed in California this year, and foreclosures are expected to continue into 2009. We need our state government to pass laws that will help families keep their
homes!
