The Sequoia District Adult School provides a positive, life-long learning environment that encourages individual student success and responds to the needs of all participants in a diverse and changing community.

Classes are offered free or at low cost, and include citizenship, adult basic education, ESL, high school diploma subjects, parenting, vocational training, and classes for older adults.

 Eligibility: Most classes are open to anyone 18 years of age or older. A current high school student may attend only by special arrangement with his/her high school counselor and the Adult School counselor.
 
Registration: If the class indicates pre-registration required, PRE-REGISTER no later than ONE WEEK before start of class. If the class does not indicate pre-registration required, you may register with the teacher at the first class meeting.

Pre-registration is required in some classes. Payment for registration and lab fee (if applicable) is due before the first class. No confirmation will be sent.
 
Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS! Please select classes carefully. There is no refund unless the class is cancelled.
 
Returned Checks: There will be a charge of $30.00 for checks returned to us by the bank.
 
Counseling Assistance: Our Academic Advisor is available to assist with your educational goals. Please refer to information on GED/Adult Basic Education or High School Diploma before calling for an appointment.
 
Textbooks: Some classes require books. Your teacher will guide you on buying books. ESL classes do not require the purchase of books although many students prefer to own the books they use in class. Books are available for sale in the ESL Office, Room 1 at Middlefield Center, or Room 42B at Sequoia High School.
 
Volunteer Tutors: PARTNERS IN LEARNING is the tutoring program of the Sequoia Adult School. Volunteers commit to two hours a week for 4 months, working with a teacher in an ESL or GED classroom or tutoring a student in English, literacy, math or citizenship.
