Boys And Girls Club Of The Peninsula
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is a place where youth are welcome every day during the vulnerable after school hours and summer days.
At each site, a team of youth development professionals and volunteers work through a broad range of programs to guide and inspire the youth to develop the attitudes and life skills they need to thrive.
Founded in 1958, the Clubs is now the largest youth development organization on the San Francisco Peninsula. Through clubhouses and schools in the most challenged neighborhoods of East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Redwood City, where over half the students drop out of high school, youth can participate in programs that focus on Academics, Science and Technology, Social and Physical Education, Life Skills, Athletics and Visual and Performing Arts.
Many of these programs are offered in partnership with local schools and other community organizations. The Club's annual budget of $4.7 million is made possible largely by foundation grants, corporate support and individual contributions.
