· Print Description: JobTrain, formerly OICW, is an educational and training institution, also offering career counseling and job placement services to our graduates.
JobTrain’s adult services include daytime vocational programs, evening classes, an assessment center, and e-learning modules. We also provide job placement counseling to our trainees and assist students in developing skills for conducting a job search, and help individuals learn the computer skills they need to find and keep a job. Additionally, we have a free clothing store called “Clothes Encounters” where our students can find donated business clothes and professional attire for interviews and work.
We have relationships with several other community organizations that can provide resources and assistance where needed. JobTrain is able to refer students for help with housing, food, transportation, healthcare, and more. PeninsulaWorks' One-Stop Center for southern San Mateo County is located on campus, along with a county Human Services Agency office. Additionally, Cañada College and Sequoia Adult School offer classes at our campus.

Dear Community Partner,
I am writing to invite you to help spread the word about Single Stop and let your clients know about our additional services here at JobTrain. Single Stop has been operating out of Jobtrain in Menlo Park since January and we are a not-for-profit organization that aims to reduce poverty in the United States by helping individuals and families access billions of dollars in public benefits and tax credits and providing essential counseling services.
Single Stop is a one-stop source for financial help. Single Stop offers a broad range of services from benefits screening and application assistance, to legal and financial counseling, as well as, tax preparation – all for FREE. If you have clients who are struggling with buying groceries, affording childcare, or paying utility bills, then Single Stop can assist with applying for food stamps, subsidized childcare or even unemployment, to name a few. We also have financial counselors who will meet with individuals, one-on-one, and review their credit, develop budgets and spending plans, and guide them toward economic self-sufficiency.
Please contact me directly for more information about all our services and/or to schedule an appointment. I will be more than happy to send you flyers, make presentations or speak to you or your client directly. I have also attached flyers about all our current services that you can freely pass out.
Thank you for your assistance,
Natalie Tercero
Single Stop Site Coordinator
