Kiwanis Club of the Bayshore Community-East Palo Alto is part of Kiwanis International, a worldwide organization dedicated to changing the world one child at a time. A community service club, the organization provides volunteers for a myriad of community based activities, most notably, the Al Julian Track Meet, a local track competition that is part of Hershey's Track and Field. The club also sponsors two youth leadership training organizations at the middle school and high school levels.

The club meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. All meetings are held at 2415 University Avenue, Community Room. All are welcome. The Club is run by a board of nine members- A President, an Immediate Past President, a Secretary, a Treasuer and five officers. For Fiscal Year 2009-10 the officers  are as follows: Sandy Farley-President, Meda Okelo- Immediate Past President, Dorothy Lewis-Treasurer, Tom Farley/Midge Dorn-Secretary, Arnold Hart-Officer, Alvin Spencer-Officer, Sola Sobayo-Officer, Rosemary Steele-Officer and Sandy Gum-Officer. The board meets once a month on the first Tuesday of the month, also at 2415 University Avenue, the Community Room.

MARTIN LUTHER KING PARK-GRAFFITI ABATEMENT CREW FRIST MEETING

Kiwanis Club members and other volunteers will meet and be trained on the use of equipment to remove graffiti of surfaces. All Volunteers are welcome. The crew will commit to cleaning out graffiti at Martin Luther King Park twice a month.
